I used this to mainly seal bulk dried beans and rice. The bag has texture and creates air flow that pulls air out and then a heat strip at the top seals it.

You need to have quite a bit of room at the top of the bag in order to push the food down past the lip that seals the container shut. Mylar bags have more longevity than the traditional clear bags. They make mylar bags that have the textured surface so it can be vacuumed.

It's very easy to use, fill the bag, leave ample room at the top, green for vacuum and sealing, red for heat seal only. Place the bag, shut the lid and it starts automatically. It releases when it's done. Easy peasy! It also comes with a can vacuum seal attachment also. This is a great tool to have on hand for bulk food, canning and freezing!

Extremely easy to use and setup! Comes with two sizes of bags 5 each. this thing is very efficient. and makes things look highly professional. I absolutely love how quick it is too. it takes no time at all. and theres enough space to label the items still. its amazing how it auto starts when a bag is inserted. super efficient machine with an accessory kit for doing zipped bags and jars/containers. this is a serious game changer for storing foods. they will last so much longer in both the fridge and freezer. using it is honestly fun. it takes up hardly any space on a counter top and is small and slim enough to store away practically anywhere. Pulse mode for delicates and juices is very innovative. we just love it!

Very Impressed using this product. Have used and owned endless vacuum sealers and have gone through them like night and day. Saying that, I presently have a commercial one that I use but it is like a piece of furniture bringing it out to use, this little gem performs way better than it and is much more convenient using. The vacuuming is super powerful and automatic, it performs exactly like store bought packages that are sealed and vacuumed, zero air in the bag that lasts and will not seep out in the freezer, the double seal really works and is a huge game changer with this unit. Trust me, experience in a lot of failed products that do not hold up to the sealed freezer test after you seal them. This one doesn't care if it has a little moisture/liquid that seeps up to the level where it seals, there is a button that you are able to press to extend the seal, and it works like a charm. It appears that you are looking at some bag waste with vacuuming and sealing but you are only losing 1 inch from that process, which is a lot less from what I have encountered from other units. Loved using this sealer so much I went to buy my mother one also, but it is currently unavailable. I would definitely recommend getting any Fresko vacuum sealer, and yeah, I just did!
